Ok...so I'm a bit nervous about tomorrow. I haven't seen Pete, my trainer, in two weeks due to travel (first my sister cruise and then a conference). I didn't do so hot on diet/exercise while I was gone. I am a bit ashamed that I won't have lost any weight tomorrow at weigh-in. I'm sure I've actually gained. Â When we first started training, he asked me if I needed to be held accountable to someone else of if I could do it on my own...obviously the answer to that one was that I needed to be held accountable to someone else. Up until this point, I've been very successful at weigh-ins. I know Pete won't be upset with me but it is the fact that I've let myself down that bothers me. Â Oh well, guess the best thing to do is get back in the groove and not dwell on it all! I had a great vacation and an interesting conference. I'm actually looking forward to putting on my gym shoes and working out again! Â
LOL ok, so if you can't tell from the title...eating clean on vacation didn't go as well as I'd hoped. I didn't eat all that badly but ... the alcohol was another story! Maybe it was just because I've not been out with the girls (went on the cruise with my sisters) in a long time (over 4 years) but we had a great time! I did work out twice (yikes...sorry Pete!). I also went to the spa and had a hot stone massage---heaven! Â So I got home late last night and leave again tomorrow morning for a conference. I will do better this trip. No sisters or dance music to distract me! I'm on a serious countdown now. The pageant is about 9 weeks away! Â :)KÂ
Ok...so I hit the gym hard this week. Four days with Pete...ugh I'm a bit sore (in a good way) from the core workout. Plus 4 days of cardio. Now...a question. I'm going on a cruise with my sisters this coming week. I know I can workout there but am concerned about the diet. Any ideas on how to still eat clean on a trip? Â I must admit, I am really looking forward to 5 days with no husband and no children! I feel a bit selfish but keep reminding myself that it will be good for me. I will come back relaxed, rested, and refreshed!Â
Hi all! I am currently Mrs. Air Capital and will be competing in the Mrs. KS America pageant in late April. I just had our 7th baby and needed motivation to get back into shape. The thought of being in a swimsuit and heels on stage is motivation enough for me! I knew that I'd need help though so I spoke with Eric and Fit Physique. He hooked me up with the best trainer...Pete Rohleder! What a great guy. Knows his stuff, is fun to workout with, and very results-based. In the 10 weeks I've been working out with him (3-4 xs a week), I've dropped 4 dress sizes and 20+ pounds (even with all the holidays in there)! Only 15 more to go!!
The contestants just met up for a photoshoot and pageant workshop this weekend. Had a great time. It is rare that I get to dress up and play supermodel (without hearing "Mommy") in the background.Will post a few pics for fun. There are some great gals competing. Will be a fun, girly weekend!
