My workout
Posted On 02/12/2008 13:58:36 by smile4fitness
Worked out yesterday - the lazy way for part of it. I decided I wanted to finish the book I was reading so I used the low bike. Once I was done I headed for the treadmill.

This morning I weighed in. I haven't gone in the direction I want. Perhaps next time I weigh in I will be a little more satisfied with the numbers.

This is the formula for finding your ideal heartrate according to Oprah:  The formula to find your ideal heart rate when exercising is 220 minus your age multiplied by 0.80.

That's okay, we all have our "lazy" days when working out.  The important thing is that you get back up to the gym and really try to have those "focused" workouts too.  Keep up the good work and don't worry so much about the weight.  It will come off with time as you build your intensity and "focus."

I just watched an episode of Oprah with Dr. Oz.  He said most of the time we aren't pushing ourselves hard enough and to find out what your target heartrate is.  And that it is not about the "weight" so much as it is the "waist" which should get smaller.  Here is the site with Dr. Oz:

I felt very motivated after watching the show and just wanted to pass it along.  Happy Workouts!
