About Me
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." -Aristotle
My approach to life is very similar- creating good habits for a healthier, happier, and better tomorrow. Health and fitness is vital to me, and I strive to improve my clients', as well as my own, quality of life. I am a personal trainer, and I work with a wide range of people, from young children, adults, and seniors, to high level athletes. Having been a highly intense, hard working, recruited athlete myself, my experience in training the body has been extensive over the years, and stems from all the levels of competition that I have participated in. Adding that to my continued schooling in the area of Kinesiology and Exercise Sports Science help make me the trainer I am. In addition, I have my personal training certification under SCW Fitness Education. I also have done fitness modeling, so I have had experience with nutrition and dieting.
My clientele have included Kansas Sports Hall of Fame inductee, All-Time Women's NCAA leading scorer and former professional basketball player Jackie Stiles, Division I atheletes, a national champion power-lifter, as well as Mrs. Kansas 2008, Kimberly McDowell. I also work with many children, teens and adults looking to achieve certain goals and improve their health.

Eating Goal
So I got my metabolism tested... just to maintain my weight I have to consume 3600 calories. No wonder I was struggling to put on weight. Now I'm trying to lean up a bit, so I am eating around that many calories of lean foods.
Proud Achievements
-Reaching my 205 lbs. mark last bulking phase
-Getting to 4.9% body fat percent for my first photo shoot
-Getting my muscle mass back after that first shoot ;)
-Benching over 315 lbs. even after tearing my pectoralis major

Effective Warmup
I do a variety of dynamic warm-ups, followed by dynamic stretches. My warm-ups might consist of plyometric movements, such as skips or high knees, and medicine ball throws or rotations. I do full body warm-ups, but really emphasize the area of the body that I am working that day.
Effective Cooldown
Static stretching
